Advances in development of Beauveria entomopathogenic fungi as bio-insecticides
Biopesticides have gained increasing attention for their role in plant protection and ecological maintenance.Beauveria,a typical genus in entomopathogenic fungi, has gradually become a key source of bio-insecticides after extensive research and experimentation. From the perspective of pest control, this paper reviewed the research progress in the classification and identification of Beauveria species, strain breeding, mass cultivation and fermentation production,as well as product preparation and stan-dardization.The problems and difficulties encounter during the development process were highlighted. In addition, the potential for improving product efficacy through genetic modification and plant interac-tions was discussed. It aims to promote the advancement of Beauveria-based insecticides and serve as a reference for other fungal insecticides.
