On Subtitle Translation of Modern Family from the Perspective of Xu Yuanchong's"Three Transformations"
Nowadays,with the development of globalization,foreign film and TV works are enjoying popu-larity.And excellent subtitle translation not only contributes to the audience's appreciation of the works but also propels communication between different cultures.The film and TV language is characterized by colloquialism and aesthetic,and the theory of"Three Transformations"proposed by Xu Yuanchong plays a role in guiding and inspiring the subtitle translation.This article,based on the"Three Transformations",analyzes the subtitle translation of Modern Family,an American TV series,exploring the translation tech-niques involved from the perspectives of equalization,generalization and particularization.
