Erlitou Site is one of the core sites to explore the Xia culture.Some pottery pieces and animal sculptures unearthed at Erlitou Site reflect the development of handicraft industry during the Xia Dynasty,not only have high artistic value,but also contain rich historical and cultural information.In addition to Erlitou site,many prehistoric sites also have typical animal decoration pottery pieces and pottery sculptures unearthed.This paper will quantitatively analyze the animal decoration pottery unearthed at Erlitou site,and combine with other related sites to get the function and significance of Erlitou site.
