The Correlation Analysis between the Spatial Attributes of Constant-holistic Shadow Space and the Slope Degree and Aspect of Sloping Ground
It is very beneficial necessary to construct a kind of Constant-holistic Shadow(CHS)space for grouped activities in outdoor public spaces in hot summer areas. However, different slope degrees and aspects significantly affect the shape and size of the CHS space,so it is necessary to explore the correlation characteristics between them,to promote effective construction of the CHS space on slope lands. In this paper, taking a typical cuboid building in Guangzhou as an example, using Autodesk Ecotect Analysis to simulate the sunshine shadows and the defined CHS spaces formed by the example cuboid building on the slope surface, the correlation characteristics between the shape, location, size of the CHS space and the different slope degrees and aspects have been revealed, and the differences in the date and time-period scale have been clarified,to provide scientific basis and effective guidance for the construction of Constant-holistic Shadow spaces in sloping urban area in hot summer area.
