Analysis of Regeneration Strategies of Small and Medium-sized Cities in Urban Agglomerations:Taking the Public Space of Xushui District in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei City Cluster as an Example
Urban agglomerations are the main form of urbanization system and the main spatial carrier of urban population in China.The small and medium-sized cities in urban agglomerations shoulder the important mission as the core cities.Taking Xushui district as an example,this paper discusses how small and medium-sized cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei city cluster can protect urban history and culture,optimize urban public space,and enhance urban landscape through urban renewal.This paper puts forward the technical route of urban renewal in Xushui public space,and elaborates four landscape strategies,namely,expression of urban culture in public space,optimization of street space,construction of pocket park,and enhancement of portal landscape.And it summarizes the uniqueness of cultural communication,the economy of public space enhancement,the characteristics of urban landscape style shaping,and the demonstration of scientific and technological empowerment in the implementation of urban renewal of small and medium-sized cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei city cluster.
