Problems and Optimization Guidelines for Urban Furniture in the Ground Space of Subway Stations:Taking Wuhan as an Example
Currently, urban rail transit in China is in a period of rapid development, but there is little research on urban furniture related to the ground space of subway stations.By combining the national standard Classification of Urban Public Facilities and Urban Furniture(GB/T 42875-2023)and the Guidelines for Spatial Planning and Design of Facilities in Surrounding Areas of Urban Rail Transit Statiions(T/UPSC 0003-2021),this study propose a classiflcation system of 5 major categories,13 middle categories, and 55 subcategories for urban furniture in the ground space of subway stations.Using this system as a framework,a survey was conducted on the current situation of 40 sample subway stations in Wuhan, and it is concluded that there are five problems with urban furniture in the ground space of subway stations:unreasonable spatial layout, incomplete functional configuration, inconsistent design styles, lack of cultural characteristics, and lack of supervision in facility maintenance. Finally,it tries to put forward the construction guidelines from five aspects:system and whole-integration of all elements, diversity and compound-improvement of functional supporting, connection and coordination-integration of landscape environment, identiflcation and characteristics-highlighting cultural characteristics, and joint consultation and co-construction-clear responsibility and right subjects,in order to provide ideas for the future construction and development of urban furniture in the ground space of urban rail transit stations in China.
