Research of Campus Space based on Attention Restorative Theory:Taking Huaxi,Wangjiang and Jiang'an Campuses of Sichuan University as Examples
Attention fatigue is a common phenomenon among university teachers and students.Improving the feature recognition and attention restorative function of campus spaces has become an urgent problem in campus planning. The research analyzes the characteristics of university campus space from the perspective of attention restorative theory, constructing an evaluation system of restorative environment in university campus. It takes Sichuan University as an example, analyzing the attention restorative characteristics of 36 campus spaces and delimiting 5 grades. It shows that the attention restoration of Huaxi campus is better than Wangjiang and Jiang'an campuses, and 36 campus spaces exhibit signiflcant spatial differentiation characteristics in the dimensions of spatial landscape and spatial boundaries.High attention restoration spaces have complete walking systems, high visibility, and reasonable allocation of natural elements, while low attention restoration space have low accessibility, homogenized landscapes, and a single type of activities. It proposes optimization strategies from four aspects:spatial distance, spatial landscape, spatial boundaries, and spatial perception,in order to provide a basis for the university campus planning.
