Taking the revitalization of rural culture as the background and the belief space in residential settlements as the object,this paper analyzes the cultural value,spiritual value,social value and nostalgia value of folk belief as an important rural cultural resource.Based on field research,this paper uses the method of cultural anthropology to make a circle diagram of the spatial distribution of belief in Dongxiahuan village and discusses the significance of these belief spaces in building a harmonious and beautiful village.It is proposed to scientifically recognize folk beliefs and protect and inherit their carrier—the belief space in residential settlements,on the basis of eliminating the bad and preserving the essence,in order to promote the revitalization of rural culture in the new era.
