A Study of Strategies for Building Urban Community Play Streets based on Child-friendly Concepts
Community play street is a spatial intervention in the West that creates a safe and open space for children,adolescents,and their parents to play on their own during a specific period of time through temporary closure of the street,aiming to enhance children's physical fitness,improve children's outdoor sports skills,and improve their physical and mental health.Through literature review,we systematically sorted out the development history,current development status and significance of playgroups in foreign countries,and selected classic cases at home and abroad to analyze the organization,activity design,and feedback of playgroups,while combining with the background of China's"14th Five-Year Plan"to build child-friendly cities,we analyze the development of playgroups from the perspectives of policy support,coordination mechanism,participation,implementation mode,and safeguard measures.At the same time,in the context of China's"14th Five-Year Plan"to build a child-friendly city,we summarize the strategies for creating play streets from five aspects:policy support,coordination mechanism,participation,implementation,and safeguards,with a view to providing certain theoretical references for the creation of safe and friendly children's outdoor space.
