Healing Architecture in a Zigzag:The"North Wing"Building Complex Project of Rigshospitalet
In order to strengthen and improve the function of the main hospital building,Riggs Hospital in Copenhagen,Denmark,expanded the North Wing"of the hospital complex.The design is based on healing and meeting the requirements of the users through human-centered,efficient and clear building layouts,aesthetic and energy-saving facade design,as well as convenient and efficient workflow,the project's human-centered concepts are illustrated in the design of the building.The shape of the building is inspired by electrocardiogram.The architectural design of the building draws inspiration from the waveform of an electrocardiogram.It combines multiple building units into a zigzag shape,intersecting with the main traffic axis running through the structure.This design creates a humanized space for medical research and education functions,as well as an artistic public space,resulting in a hospital building that merges modern technology with advanced concepts.
