As one of the earliest missionary universities in China,Qilu University has a distinct combination of Chinese and Western elements.This paper takes the typical historical buildings of Qilu University as the research object.Through the summary of historical materials,comparative study of cases and field investigation,the paper sorts out the contents of the development history,plane structure and facade elements of Qilu University,conducts in-depth analysis on the planning,shape and other aspects of the buildings,and disassemble the Chinese and western elements in the building of Qilu University.Combined with the background of the times,we finally get the architectural characteristics of Qilu University from western modern university style to local traditional residential style,which provides reference value for the protection of modern buildings of Qilu University and the excavation of architectural value.
