Dimensions of Urban Narrative Space from the Perspective of Embodied Cognition
Urban space,as the material carrier and existence space of human production and life,is inseparable from people's real situations and perceptual insights.However,the visual tendency in modern urban planning and the urban renewal method above physical space are still the mainstream in current urban narrative space research.This paper explores the dimensions of urban narrative space from the perspective of embodied cognition,emphasizing the importance of people's experiences,perceptions,and cognition in urban space for the construction of narrative space.The article reveals the roles of the kinesthetic dimension,spatiotemporal dimension,and social dimension in urban narrative space research by analyzing the material and social attributes of urban space and how people engage in bodily practices and social interactions in these spaces.This research not only provides a new perspective for urban design and renewal but also hopes to promote a deeper understanding and recognition of urban narrative space.
