The rise of citizen class in Song dynasty of China is an important stage in the development of urban public space.Based on the analysis of the urban public space in the Palace museum's collection Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival,this paper discusses the characteristics and trends of its development,and considers the reasons behind it.The study of urban public space in Song dynasty is helpful to explore the integration of modern urban public space and traditional culture.
