Taiping Old Street,as a cultural symbol of Changsha,has endured the devastating Wenxi fire and the challenges of modernization,yet it retains its original bustling street life and local characteristics.In the face of the widespread phenomena of"cookie-cutter cities"and"fake antiques,"the maintenance of its unique cultural identity is particularly crucial.This study utilizes the geographical information services of the Gaode Open Platform to analyze the current state of Taiping old street,providing data support for cultural preservation.Through surveys and in-depth interviews with community members,the study reveals the vital role of cultural activities and community organizations in promoting cultural heritage and strengthening community cohesion.The rich stories of Taiping old street and the active engagement of its residents not only enhance their sense of belonging but also inject new vitality into the cultural development of Changsha city,demonstrating effective cultural preservation strategies to combat cultural homogenization.
