Reform Exploration of Experimental Teaching Integrating Virtuality and Reality:Taking the Course of"Classical Garden Architecture Design"as an Example
This paper explores the effective approach of integrating virtuality and reality in the experimental teaching of ancient architectural design.Taking the course of"Classical Garden Architecture Design"as the subject, the virtual simulation interactive platform and three pavilions in the campus are utilized for experimental teaching, and three methods of combining virtuality and reality are adopted:virtuality and reality proceed alternately(pre-experiment on the virtual platform, followed by on-site research on the 3 pavilions, and then return to the virtual platform for in-depth learning),virtuality and reality complement each other(the structural practices of the virtual platform and the three pavilions are mutually complementary),and virtuality and reality contrast(contrast the differences between the virtual platform and the three pavilions). This helps students understand the diversity and richness of the structure of classical garden architecture in both temporal and spatial dimensions, emphasizes the value of structural"possibility",and nurtures students'creativity, innovative thinking,as well as appreciation of regional culture. The aim of this study is to provide a reference for the digital teaching reform of architecture-related courses.
