The middle reaches of the Yangtze river have many red resources,which is an important carrier of the red culture and revolutionary spirit of the Yangtze River.Taking Hunan,Hubei and Jiangxi provinces in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River as the research area,the evolution process of red heritage is explored through temporal and spatial analysis.It is found that:(1)in the time stage distribution of the stage,the trend of growth and the stage difference is large,the old democracy transition to the stage of new democracy revolution,the proportion of heritage increases from 14.7％to 78.7％;(2)in the distribution of spatial form,the dotted spatial form accounts for nearly 90％of the total heritage,and the overall distribution of heritage is more in the south and less in the north,more in the east and less in the west;(3)the heritage is mainly distributed in the underdeveloped areas with low urban grade,and there is no obvious relationship between the heritage distribution and the urban grade.The results provide data support and theoretical basis for the protection of red heritage and red tourism planning in the middle reaches of the Yangtze river.
