The Study on the Evolution of Small Garden Architecture of Zhengzhou Jinshui River from the Perspective of Contrast between Mass Media and Local Records(1950s-1990s)
The gradually rising research on small garden architecture usually focuses on the notable tourist city,meanwhile the booming city just like Zhengzhou since the founding of People's Republic of China still does not receive enough attention.In view of this,the small garden architecture alongside Zhengzhou Jinshui River during the process of the management of it from 1950s-1990s are taken as the research object and efforts are made to present the tremendous achievement.Given that some distinguished cases of small garden architecture in that period have been dismantled and the research in related fields is absent,the research on it must resort to other methods.As an effective one,under the vision of the contrast between mass media and local records and by using the method of literature analysis and comparison method,this article classifies the types of the small garden architecture and reveals the laws of evolution of them.Furthermore,based on that,a discussion on the values of typical case,such as Youth Dam of Diverting the Water of Yellow River into Zhengzhou,is held to present the appearance of Zhengzhou small garden architecture among the whole country from multiple perspectives.
