Research on Planning Strategies for Suburban Integrated Villages under the Concept of Urban-Rural Equivalence:A Case Study of Beida Village Planning in Xi'an High-tech Zone
Suburban integrated villages serve as the forefront of urban-rural integrated development.Currently, these villages are confronted with multiple challenges, including the blending of urban and rural spatial characteristics, difficulties in population management, imbalances in industrial structure, and disruptions in cultural transmission. In response to these issues, under the concept of urban-rural equivalence,it is proposed that such villages should preserve their rural characteristics, strengthen their emotional connections and cultural experience functions, establish an"urban farmland nostalgia community",and develop an overall plan for creating a livable and business-friendly"urban backyard".Taking Beida village as an example,a set of planning strategies suitable for the development of villages integrating urban and rural areas is extracted, including measures such as tapping into endogenous advantages, positioning village characteristics, controlling spatial minimum standards, constructing industrial systems, innovating spatial products, and facilitating multi-party collaborative operations. These strategies provide valuable references for the sustainable development of suburban integrated village.
