Relationship between the expression difference of 11β-HSD in placenta with discordant twins
Objective To study the relationship between the expression difference of 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase(11β-HSD)in placenta with discordant twins.Methods Twelve pairs of discordant twins(DT)group delivered in Jiaxing Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the experimental group,and 15 pairs of concordant twins(CT)group were selected as the control group.The mRNA expression levels of 11β-HSD1 and 11β-HSD2 in fetal placenta of the two groups were detected by qRT-PCR.Results The mRNA expression of 11β-HSD1 showed no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05).The mRNA expression of 11β-HSD2 did not statistically significantly differ between children A and B in CT group(P>0.05),while the smaller children had a lower mRNA expression of 11β-HSD2 in DT group(P<0.05).Conclusion The difference of placental 11β-HSD2 expression may be related to the occurrence of twin growth discordant.
