Influence of post-abortion care service on women's contraceptive choice
Objective To investigate the status quo of induced abortion and the influence of post abortion care(PAC)service on the choice of contraceptive measures, and to provide reference for further optimizing the extension and expansion of PAC service. Methods From August 2019 to December 2020,the women who had induced abortion in the department of gynecology of our hospital were surveyed by preoperative questionnaire and standardized PAC service model, and their choice of contraceptive method was statistically analyzed. Results A total of 3000 patients with induced abortion were included in this study, and the results of the questionnaire survey showed that the population had a poor grasp of contraceptive knowledge and effective contraceptive measures. After the implementation of PAC,the immediate contraceptive rate was 100%,and the main contraceptive methods were combined oral contraceptive(COC)(76.5%),intra-uterine device(IUD)(19.2%)and condom(4.1%).After 1,3,6 months of follow-up,it was found that the placement rate of IUD gradually increased, and the continuation rate of COC gradually decreased. Conclusion Scientific and systematic high-quality PAC services can effectively promote the implementation of highly effective contraceptive methods,so as to reduce the occurrence of repeated abortion, protect and improve women's reproductive health and the quality of life.
