A Meta-analysis of acupuncture combined with drug in treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
Objective To systematically evaluate the efficacy of acupuncture combined with drug in treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD).Methods Randomized controlled studies on acupuncture combined with drug in treatment of ADHD were searched from CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP,SinoMed,PubMed,Cochrane Library,Embase,Medline from October 2003 to October 2023.Literatures were screened according to inclusion and exclusion criteria and data were extracted for quality evaluation.Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4.1 software.Results A total of 13 literatures were included,with a total of 941 children.Compared with drug therapy alone,acupuncture combined with drug therapy has certain advantages in total effective rate,reducing SNAP-Ⅳ(Swanson,Nolan,and pelham scale version Ⅳ)score,improving hyperactivity index,and reducing the incidence of adverse reactions,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with drug in treatment of ADHD has a significant effect,can reduce SNAP-Ⅳ score,improve the hyperactivity index,reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions.
