Clinical Efficacy of Pain Point Plucking Method and Cupping in the Treatment of Scapulohumeral Periarthritis
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of pain point plucking and cupping therapy in the treatment of patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis.Method:A total of 96 patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis who admitted to Wuwei Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from August 2021 to August 2022 were selected as the research objects, the patients were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 48 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional western medicine treatment, the observation group was given pain point plucking and cupping therapy on the basis of the control group, two groups were treated for 1 month. The clinical efficacy, traditional Chinese medicine symptom score, inflammatory factor level, shoulder pain degree, shoulder joint mobility and adverse reactions were compared between two groups.Result:After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores, tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and shoulder visual analogue scale(VAS)in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and which in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment, the levels of interleukin-10(IL-10)in two groups were higher than those before treatment, and that in the observation group was higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment, the angles of shoulder flexion, abduction, external rotation and internal rotation in two groups were larger than those before treatment, and which in the observation group were larger than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between two groups(P>0.05);the total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Pain point plucking and cupping therapy in the treatment of patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis can effectively alleviate inflammatory reactions and pain, improve shoulder joint mobility, and have high safety.
