Effects of Huatan Jieyu Decoction on Patients with First Episode Depression
Objective:To explore the effects of Huatan Jieyu Decoction on patients with first episode depression(FED).Method:A total of 77 FED patients admitted to Beijing Jiangong Hospital from March 2020 to March 2022 were selected.They were divided into control group(n=39)and observation group(n=38)according to random number table method.The control group was given Sertraline Hydrochloride Tablets,the observation group was given Huatan Jieyu Decoction on the basis of the control group.Chinese medicine symptom score,neurotransmitter,sleep quality before and after treatment,clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result:After treatment,the main disease,secondary disease scores and total scores of the two groups were decreased,and the main disease,secondary disease scores and total scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 92.11%(35/38),which was higher than 74.36%(29/39)of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of dopamine(DA),5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)and norepinephrine(NE)in both groups were increased,and the levels of DA,5-HT and NE in observation group were higher than those in control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatment,the Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)scores of the two groups were decreased,and the PSQI scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Huatan Jieyu Decoction can improve the clinical efficacy of FED patients,improve clinical symptoms and sleep quality of patients,increase the secretion of neurotransmitter,safe and effective.
