Effect of Compound Huangbaiye Pigmentum and Tacrolimus Ointment in Patients with Seborrheic Dermatitis
Objective:To investigate the effect of Compound Huangbaiye Pigmentum combined with Tacrolimus Ointment on patients with seborrheic dermatitis(SD).Method:A total of 83 SD patients admitted to Putian Skin Disease Prevention and Control Hospital from October 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study subjects.The subjects were divided into control group(n=41)and experimental group(n=42)according to random number table method.The control group was treated with Tacrolimus Ointment,and the experimental group was treated with Compound Huangbaiye Pigmentum on the basis of the control group.The efficacy,pruritus degree[visual analogue scale(VAS)score],inflammatory markers[interferon-γ(IFN-γ),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-8(IL-8)]and skin barrier function were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the experimental group was 95.24%,which was higher than 78.05%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in pruritus degree,inflammation index and skin barrier function index between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,VAS score,TNF-α,IFN-γ levels,trans epidermal water loss(TEWL)and sebum content in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group,IL-8 and cuticle water content were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compound Huangbaiye Pigmentum combined with Tacrolimus Ointment is effective in treating SD,which can reducing inflammation,relieving itching and improving skin barrier function.
