Diagnostic Value of Transcranial Color Doppler Ultrasound Parameters for Parkinson Disease
Objective:To explore the diagnostic value of transcranial color Doppler ultrasound parameters for Parkinson disease.Method:A total of 53 Parkinson disease patients admitted to the First Hospital of Putian City from February 2022 to March 2023 were selected as research group, and 53 healthy individuals who underwent physical examinations at the same time in our hospital were selected as control group. Both groups underwent transcranial color Doppler ultrasound examination to determine the hyper-substantia nigra, midbrain area and the strong echo area of the substantia nigra/midbrain(S/M).The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was plotted to analyze the diagnostic value of transcranial color Doppler ultrasound parameters for Parkinson disease.Result:The hyper-substantia nigra and S/M in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in midbrain area between the two groups(P>0.05).The ROC curve showed that the AUC for diagnosing Parkinson disease were 0.824,0.857,0.914 of the hyper-substantia nigra,S/M and combined detection, respectively;when the the cut-off value of the hyper-substantia nigra and S/M were 0.220 cm2 and 7.210%respectively,the best diagnostic values were obtained. Conclusion:Transcranial color Doppler ultrasound parameters has high diagnostic value for Parkinson disease, and it is considered that in the future, the hyper-substantia nigra and S/M can be important auxiliary parameters for the diagnosis of Parkinson disease.
