Correlation between Serum Homocysteine Level and NT-proBNP Level and Coagulation Function in HFpEF Patients
Objective:To investigate the correlation between serum homocysteine(Hcy)level and N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)level and coagulation function in patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction(HFpEF).Method:A total of 120 patients with HFpEF treated in Sanshui District People's Hospital of Foshan City from October 2021 to October 2022 were selected as HFpEF group, and 120 patients with normal physical examination during the same period were selected as control group.Serum Hcy,coagulation function[thrombin time(TT),activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),prothrombin time(PT),fibrinogen(FIB)]and NT-proBNP levels were compared between the two groups.Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between serum Hcy level, coagulation function and NT-proBNP level in HFpEF patients.Result:The levels of NT-proBNP,Hcy,FIB,APTT,PT and TT in HFpEF group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum Hcy was positively correlated with NT-proBNP,FIB,APTT,PT and PT in HFpEF patients, the differences were statistically significant(r=0.707,0.662,0.721,0.661,0.489,P<0.05).Conclusion:Serum Hcy level is positively correlated with NT-proBNP and coagulation function level in HFpEF patients.
