Clinical Effect of Pain Point Plucking Method Combined with Cupping on the Treament of Scapulohumeral Periarthritis
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with pain point plucking method and cupping on the treament of scapulohumeral periarthritis.Method:A total of 80 patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis treated in Wuwei Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from May 2021 to May 2022 were selected and divided into two groups according to random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with acupuncture alone, and the observation group was treated with pain point plucking method and cupping on the basis of acupuncture. The efficacy, pain degree[visual analogue scale(VAS)],shoulder function, shoulder range of motion and short-term recurrence rate were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the VAS score and shoulder dysfunction index in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the motion degree of shoulder flexion, extension, adduction, abduction, internal rotation and external rotation were greater than those before treatment, and the above indexes in the observation group were better than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in recurrence rates between the two groups(x2=0.753,P=0.386);after 8 weeks of treatment, the recurrence rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=5.802,P=0.016).Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with pain point plucking method and cupping can improve the curative effect of patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis, relieve shoulder pain, improve shoulder joint motion and joint function, and reduce the disease recurrence rate.
