Clinical Effect of Acupuncture at Neck Jiaji Point Combined with Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction in the Treatment of Cervical Vertigo
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of acupuncture at neck Jiaji point combined with Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction in the treatment of cervical vertigo(CV).Method:Fifty patients with CV who admitted to Huaxi District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Guiyang City from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the research subjects,the patients were divided into two groups according to different treatment plans,with 25 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction,while the observation group was treated with acupuncture at neck Jiaji point and Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction,two groups were treated continuously for 2 weeks.The clinical effect,serum related indexes[C-reactive protein(CRP),fibrinogen(FIB),total cholesterol(TC)],cervical vertigo symptom and function assessment scale(ESCV)score,vertigo disorder scale(DHI)score and safety were compared between two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was 100%,which was higher than 76.00%of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment,the serum CRP,FIB,and TC levels in two groups decreased compared with those before treatment,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment,the ESCV scores of two groups increased compared with those before treatment,and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,the DHI scores of two groups decreased compared with those before treatment,and that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture at neck Jiaji point combined with Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction has a definite therapeutic effect in the treatment of CV patients,it can improve cerebral blood circulation and inflammatory response,promote the recovery of neck function,and have high safety.
