Application Value of Radical Mastectomy for Breast Cancer with Different Surgical Incisions
Objective:To study the effect of different surgical incision methods on the clinical curative effect of radical mastectomy.Method:A total of 82 breast cancer patients treated in the General Surgery Department of Youxi County General Hospital from May 2020 to May 2022 were selected and divided into experimental group and control group according to random number table method, with 41 cases in each group. The control group was treated by Halsted-Meyer longitudinal incision radical resection, and the experimental group was treated by Stewart transverse incision radical resection. The operative indexes, quality of life, psychological emotion and complication rate were compared between the two groups.Result:The total incidence of postoperative complications in experimental group was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incision length of the experimental group was shorter than that of the control group, the amount of intraoperative blood loss was shorter than that of the control group, and the operation time and hospital stay were shorter than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the functional score, symptom score and total scores of quality of life questionnaire of breast cancer-23(QLQ-BR23)in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the scores in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the scores in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with the Halsted-Meyer longitudinal incision, radical mastectomy with Stewart transverse resulted in a lower incidence of postoperative complications, less surgical bleeding, less operation and hospital stay, better quality of life, and better psychological and emotional health.
