Efficacy of Low-temperature Plasma Laryngectomy for Benign Tumors
Objective:To explore the safety and effectiveness of low-temperature plasma surgery in the treatment of benign tumor of larynx.Method:The data of 138 inpatients who diagnosed with benign tumor of larynx in Qingyuan People's Hospital from January 2021 to January 2022 were retrospectively selected, according to the different surgical methods, they were divided into the conventional surgery group(n=87)and the low-temperature plasma surgery group(n=51),the conventional surgery group received conventional resection of benign laryngeal masses, and the low-temperature plasma surgery group received low-temperature plasma surgery.Propensity score matching(PSM)was used for 1∶1 matching between the conventional surgery group(n=31)and the low-temperature plasma surgery group(n=31),the operation time, intraoperative blood loss, operation effect, wound healing time and postoperative complications were compared between two groups after PSM.Result:The operation time and wound healing time of the low-temperature plasma surgery group were shorter than those of the conventional surgery group, the intraoperative blood loss and postoperative complications were less than those of the conventional surgery group, the total effective rate was higher than that of the conventional surgery group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Low-temperature plasma laryngectomy for benign tumors is a safe and effective surgical procedure.
