Analysis of Clinical Efficacy of Indomethacin in Preventing Heterotopic Ossification after Elbow Joint Fracture Surgery
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Indomethacin in preventing heterotopic ossification(HO)after elbow joint fracture surgery.Method:A total of 100 patients with elbow joint fracture admitted to Macheng People's Hospital from January 2019 to January 2021 were selected. They were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with surgery, the control group was given conventional drugs, and the observation group was given Indomethacin on the basis of control group. The occurrence condition of HO,elbow joint function and inflammatory factors before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Result:After treatment, the incidence of HO in observation group was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the joint motion, joint stability, pain degree and daily function scores of both groups were increased, and the joint motion, joint stability, pain degree and daily function scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of C-reaction protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)decreased in both groups, the levels of CRP,IL-6 and TNF-α in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of Indomethacin in postoperative prevention of elbow joint fracture can effectively reduce the incidence of HO,improve the elbow joint function score and reduce inflammation reaction.
