Study on Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy Based on Intestinal Flora
Diabetes mellitus(DM)has become one of the fastest growing public health problems in the world, and the incidence rate of its peripheral nerve complications has also increased, but the results are not satisfactory in terms of clinical diagnosis and treatment effect. With the in-depth study of diabetes peripheral neuropathy and the development of human metagenomics, more and more medical evidence shows that the intestinal microbiome or function of patients with diabetes peripheral neuropathy has changed. On this basis, the researchers proposed and confirmed the mechanism of some intestinal flora participating in the pathogenesis of diabetes peripheral neuropathy, and a new treatment method for diabetes peripheral neuropathy based on restoring the composition, structure and function of intestinal flora. This article will review the role of intestinal flora in the pathogenesis of diabetes peripheral neuropathy, and the research progress of relevant intervention measures based on intestinal flora theory.
