Efficacy and Safety of Disposable Circumcision Suture Device in the Treatment of Redundant Prepuce
Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of disposable circumcision suture device(DCSD)in the treatment of redundant prepuce.Method:The clinical data of 116 patients with redundant prepuce admitted to the Fifth Hospital of Zhangzhou from January 2021 to June 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into observation group(n=62)and control group(n=54)according to different surgical methods. The control group was given traditional prepuce circumcision and the observation group was given DCSD.Perioperative indexes, degree of pain and edema, complications and satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Result:The operative time and wound healing time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the intraoperative blood loss volume was less than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The pain score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group at 2 d after surgery, and the edema score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group at 12 d after surgery, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:DCSD has the characteristics of low complications, short recovery time and high aesthetic degree of the prepuce in the treatment of redundant prepuce, and the overall effect is more ideal than traditional prepuce circumcision.
