Effect of Gutongling Tincture Combined with Meloxicam Tablets on the Prognosis of Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis
Objective:To investigate the effect of Gutongling Tincture combined with Meloxicam Tablets on the prognosis of patients with knee osteoarthritis.Method:Retrospective selection of 100 patients with knee osteoarthritis admitted to the Linyi County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Linpan Campus from February 2020 to February 2023.According to medication methods,they were divided into combination treatment group and single treatment group,with 50 patients in each group.The combination treatment group was treated with Gutongling Tincture combined with Meloxicam Tablets,while the single treatment group was treated with Meloxicam Tablets.Statistical analysis of two groups of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,pain severity,knee joint function,gait function,health status,quality of life,bone metabolism indicators,oxidative stress indicators,inflammatory factors,and clinical efficacy.Result:After treatment,various traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores and total scores,the Western Ontario and McMaster University(WOMAC)osteoarthritis index scores and total scores,Lequesne score,visual analogue scale(VAS)score,health assessment questionnaire(HAQ)score,malondialdehyde(MDA),nitric oxide(NO),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-1β(IL-1β),interleukin-6(IL-6)and interleukin-17(IL-17)in the combination treatment group were lower than those in the single treatment group,the 6 min walking test(6MWT)distance was longer than that of the single treatment group,the Berg balance scale(BBS)score,the MOS item short from health survey(SF-36)score,bone glutamyl protein(BGP),osteoprotegerin(OPG),glutathione(GSH),and superoxide dismutase(SOD)levels were all higher than those in the single treatment group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the combination treatment group was 96.00%,which was higher than 78.00%of the single treatment group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Gutongling Tincture and Meloxicam Tablets has a better therapeutic effect on patients with knee osteoarthritis.It can alleviate pain,improve knee joint function and gait function,improve quality of life,optimize health status,regulate bone metabolism indicators,oxidative stress indicators,and inflammatory factors.
