Effect of Shujing Tongdu Massage Combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine Fumigation and Washing on Limb Swelling in Patients with Stroke Hemiplegia
Objective:To analyze the effect of Shujing Tongdu massage combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing on limb swelling in patients with stroke hemiplegia.Method:A total of 80 patients with stroke hemiplegic limb swelling admitted to the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Nanning Second People's Hospital from July 2021 to July 2023,they were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group according to the medical record number,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was given traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing treatment,and the observation group was combined with Shujing Tongdu massage treatment on the basis of the control group.The swelling degree of hands and feet,the foot dorsum hemodynamics,the fine motor coordination ability and sensory function of the hemiplegic hand,the function of hands and feet,the clinical effect,the motor function of the affected limb,and the ability of daily living of the two groups before and after treatment were observed.Result:After intervention,the degree of hand swelling and foot swelling in both groups were lower than those before intervention,and the vascular inner diameter,blood flow and peak velocity were higher than those before intervention,and the degree of hand swelling and foot swelling in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the vascular inner diameter,blood flow and peak velocity were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,motor coordination ability score,sensory function score,Broetz hand function score,Maryland foot function score,motor function score of affected limb and modified Barthel index(MBI)score of both groups were higher than those before intervention,and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total excellent and good rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Shujing Tongdu massage combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing can reduce the degree of hand and foot swelling in patients with stroke hemiplegia,improve foot dorsum hemodynamics,adjust the fine motor coordination ability,sensory function and hand and foot function of the hemiplegic hand,improve motor function of the affected limb,and enhance the daily life ability of patients.
