Progress in the Application of Renal Subcapsular Xenograft Technology in PDX Models
Objective:Preclinical models often fail to capture the different heterogeneity of human malignant tumors, thus lacking clinical predictive ability.Patient derived tumor xenotransplantation(PDX)has become a powerful technique that preserves the molecular heterogeneity of its original samples.Among them, renal subcapsular xenotransplantation technology is a method of establishing a human cancer model in animals, which has received increasing attention in recent years.Based on this technology, medical researchers can study the biological characteristics, histological characteristics, and treatment responses of cancer by transplanting primary tumors obtained from patients into the renal capsule of mice, and then observing long-term reproduction and observation in mice. The article reviewed the progress and application of this technology in clinical and basic medical research in recent years, showcasing its advantages in the field of tumor treatment and research, providing reference for clinical and basic researchers in tumor prevention and treatment research.
