Effect of Intervertebral Fusion and Internal Fixation Surgery in Patients with Degenerative Scoliosis
Objective:To analyze the effect of intervertebral fusion and internal fixation surgery in patients with degenerative scoliosis.Method:A total of 80 patients with degenerative scoliosis who admitted to Henan University People's Hospital from January to December 2021 were included in this study, the patients were divided into the decompression group(conventional spinal canal decompression surgery,n=40)and the bone graft group(intervertebral fusion and internal fixation surgery,n=40)according to the different surgery method. The surgical efficacy, spinal imaging findings, spinal function[Oswestry disability index(ODI)]and quality of life[health survey scale 36(SF-36)]before and after treatment were compared between two groups.Result:The excellent and good rate of the bone graft group was higher than that of the decompression group, the length of bed rest and the healing time of the fracture end were shorter than those of the decompression group, and the incidence of complications during rehabilitation was lower than that of the decompression group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the spinal canal encroachment rate, vertebral compression rate,Cobb angle and ODI score of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, the anterior height of vertebral body, midline height of vertebral body, posterior height of vertebral body and SF-36 score were higher than those before treatment, and which in the bone graft group were better than those in the decompression group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Intervertebral fusion and internal fixation surgery in the treatment of patients with degenerative scoliosis can accelerate postoperative recovery, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, restore spinal function, correct spinal parameters, and improve quality of life.
