Clinical Effect of Multiloc Intramedullary Nail in the Treatment of Elderly Proximal Humerus Fractures
Objective:To analyze the clinical effect of Multiloc intramedullary nail in the treatment of elderly proximal humerus fractures(PHF).Method:Fifty-six elderly patients with PHF treated in People's Hospital of Boluo County from January 2019 to December 2022 were retrospectively selected.According to the different surgical methods, they were divided into control group and study group,28 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Phlios plate and the study group was treated with Multiloc intramedullary nail.Perioperative indexes, fracture reduction effect and complications were compared between the two groups.Result:The operation time and incision length of the study group were shorter than those of the control group, the amount of intraoperative blood loss was less than that of the control group, the postoperative active activity time and full weight-bearing activity time were earlier than those of the control group, the visual analogue scale(VAS)score 7 d after the operation was lower than that of the control group, and the shoulder joint anterior flexor motion and American association of shoulder and elbow surgeons(ASES)score after treatment were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the excellent and good rate and incidence of complication between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Phlios plate treatment plan and Multiloc intramedullary nail treatment plan have similar fracture reduction effects in elderly patients with PHF,but the latter has treatmnt advantages in reducing surgical trauma, promoting early postoperative functional activity and improving shoulder joint mobility.
