Effect of Chubi Decoction Combined with Acupuncture on Rheumatoid Arthritis
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of Chubi Decoction combined with acupuncture on rheumatoid arthritis(RA)and its influence on rheumatic factors and inflammation.Method:A total of 88 RA patients treated in Enshi Central Hospital from January to December 2022 were randomly divided into control group and combination group,with 44 patients in each group.The control group was treated with acupuncture and conventional western medicine,and the combination group was treated with Chubi Decoction on the basis of the control group.The main symptoms,levels of rheumatic factors and inflammation were observed at admission and after 3 courses of treatment.Result:After 3 courses of treatment,the morning stiffness time of the two groups was significantly shorter than that at admission,the joint swelling score and joint visual analogue scale(VAS)score were significantly lower than those at admission,and the morning stiffness time of the combined group was significantly shorter than that of the control group,and the joint swelling score and joint VAS score were significantly lower than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3 courses of treatment,rheumatoid factor indexes in both groups were lower than those at admission,and immunoglobulin G(IgG),peripheral blood erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)and serum rheumatoid factor(RF)levels in the combination group were significantly lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3 courses of treatment,the inflammatory indexes in both groups were significantly lower than those at admission,and the serum tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),and hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)in the combined group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Chubi Decoction combined with acupuncture can significantly improve the main clinical symptoms of RA patients,reduce the level of rheumatic factors and inflammatory reaction.
