Evaluation Value of Peripheral Blood PTH and CRP for Prognosis of Patients with Ischemic Stroke
Objective:To explore the value of peripheral blood parathyroid hormone(PTH)and C-reactive protein(CRP)expression levels in prognosis assessment of patients with ischemic stroke.Method:A total of 116 patients with ischemic stroke admitted to Beijing Fengtai Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine from June 2018 to December 2021 were selected as the study objects.According to the infarct size, they were divided into mild group(n=49),moderate group(n=44)and severe group(n=23),and peripheral blood PTH and CRP levels of patients with different severity were compared. The correlation with infarct size was analyzed. The patients were divided into good prognosis group(n=91)and poor prognosis group(n=25)according to the modified Rankin scale(mRS)score at 3 months after the onset of the disease. The predictive value of peripheral blood PTH and CRP levels on the prognosis of patients and their relationship with the occurrence of poor prognosis were analyzed.Result:The levels of PHT and CRP in moderate group and severe group were higher than those in mild group, and the levels of PHT and CRP in severe group were higher than those in moderate group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of PTH and CRP in peripheral blood were positively correlated with the infarct size of patients with ischemic stroke(P<0.05).The levels of PTH and CRP in peripheral blood of poor prognosis group were higher than those of good prognosis group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The area under curve(AUC)of combined detection of PTH and CRP levels in peripheral blood predicted the prognosis of patients was greater than that of PTH and CRP alone, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).PTH≥12.82 ng/L and CRP≥8.16 mg/L were the influencing factors leading to adverse prognosis in patients with ischemic stroke(P<0.05).Conclusion:The levels of PTH and CRP in peripheral blood of patients with ischemic stroke are correlated with the infarct size, and the combined detection of these two levels is valuable to evaluate the prognosis of patients.
