Application of Minimally Invasive Surgery and Conservative Treatment in Ankle Degenerative Osteoarthropathy
Objective:To investigate the effect of minimally invasive surgery and conservative treatment in the treatment of ankle degenerative osteoarthropathy.Method:A total of 80 patients with ankle degenerative osteoarthropathy treated in Yangjiang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2020 to August 2023 were selected and they were divided into conservative group and minimally invasive group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The conservative group was treated with oral medication+Sodium Hyaluronate+joint activity training+muscle function training, and the minimally invasive group was treated with arthroscopic surgery.Pain degree[visual analogue scale(VAS)score],ankle function[Mazur ankle symptom and function score(Mazur score)],mobility function[Tegner knee movement score(Tegner score)],activity of daily living[modified Barthel index(MBI)]before and after treatment and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups.Result:After 1 month of treatment,VAS score in minimally invasive group was significantly lower than that in conservative group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 1 month of treatment, the Mazur score,Tegner score and MBI score in the minimally invasive group were significantly higher than those in the conservative group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total excellent and good rate of minimally invasive group was higher than that of conservative group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Minimally invasive surgery can significantly reduce pain, improve ankle function, motor function, and improve the ability of daily living in patients with degenerative ankle arthropathy.
