Objective:To study the effect of proximal femoral anti rotation intramedullary nail(PFNA)in the treatment of middle-aged and elderly patients with intertrochanteric fractures of femur.Method:A total of 84 middle-aged and elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture of femur admitted to Qianxi People's Hospital from April 2022 to April 2023 were selected.According to random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group,42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with artificial hip replacement and the observation group was treated with PFNA.Perioperative indexes, time indexes, hip joint function and complications were compared between the two groups.Result:The operation time and incision length of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the intraoperative blood loss volume was less than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The time of getting out of bed and full weight bearing in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The Harris score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group at 3 months after operation, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of PFNA treatment for patients with intertrochanteric fractures of femur is more helpful in reducing surgical incision length, shortening surgical time, accelerating postoperative recovery, promoting postoperative hip joint function recovery, and reducing postoperative complications. It has higher clinical efficacy and safety advantages.
