Effect of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Combined with Silver Ion Hydrogel Dressing on Diabetic Foot Ulcer Patients
Objective:To investigate the effects of negative pressure wound therapy(NPWT)combined with silver ion hydrogel dressing on diabetic foot ulcer(DFU)patients.Method:A total of 80 DFU patients admitted to Shijingshan Teaching Hospital,Capital Medical University from March 2019 to April 2023 were selected as experimental subjects. They were randomly divided into combined group(n=40)and dressing group(n=40)according to computer numbering odd and even method. The dressing group was treated with silver ion hydrogel dressing, and the combined group was treated with NPWT based on the dressing group. The related indicators,ankle-brachial index(ABI),angiogenesis index and nerve conduction velocity before and 28 d after treatment were compared between the two groups.Result:The wound healing time and hospitalization days of the combined group were shorter than those of the dressing group, and the dressing changes was less than that of the dressing group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 28 d of treatment,ABI of the two groups increased, and ABI of the combined group was higher than that of the dressing group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 28 d of treatment, vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and basic fibroblast growth factor, basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)and insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1)were higher than those before treatment, endostatin(ES)was lower than that before treatment,VEGF,bFGF and IGF-1 in combined group were higher than those in dressing group,ES was lower than that in dressing group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 28 d of treatment, sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV)and motor nerve conduction velocity(MCV)of common peroneal nerve and median nerve increased in both groups,SCV and MCV of common peroneal nerve and median nerve in combined group were higher than those in dressing group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:NPWT combined with silver ion hydrogel dressing can promote wound healing, promote angiogenesis and improve nerve conduction velocity in DFU patients.
