Study on Influencing Factors of Diabetes Mellitus Complicated with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Objective:To investigate the influencing factors of diabetes mellitus complicated with carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS).Method:A total of 228 patients with type 2 diabetes treated in Changsha Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2018 to June 2021 were selected.General data of all patients were collected.Glycosylated hemoglobin variability was measured in all patients.Patients were divided into case group(with CTS)and control group(without CTS)according to whether they had CTS or not.The general data and glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)variability index of the two groups were compared. The influencing factors of type 2 diabetes mellitus with CTS was analyzed.Result:Among 228 patients,67 had CTS,with an incidence of 29.4%.The course of disease in the case group was longer than that in the control group, and the heart rate,HbA1c variable coefficient(HbA1c-CV),HbA1c standard deviation(HbA1c-SD)and HbA1c mean(HbA1c-M)were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that HbA1c-CV,HbA1c-SD and HbA1c-M were independent risk factors for CTS(P<0.05).Conclusion:Glycosylated hemoglobin variability is associated with diabetic CTS and can predict the development of CTS in diabetic patients.
