Clara cell secretory protein 16(CC16),as the main substance secreted by Clara cells in the respiratory tract,has a variety of biological functions and plays an important role in the protection of the respiratory tract.As a biological marker,it can predict the development of a variety of lung diseases,as a therapeutic drug,it can delay the aggravation of a variety of lung diseases.At present,its research on lung diseases is still a hot spot.This article summarized the source,structure and function of CC16,and made an overview of the research progress of CC16 in lung diseases.
