Giant needling method was first published in Huangdi Neijing,and its biggest feature is the point selection method of"taking right from left disease and left from right disease".This unique acupuncture method makes it widely used in stroke and facial palsy,but there are few reports in the department of orthopedics and traumatology.The lumbar disc herniation,scapulohumeral periarthritis,calcaneal pain and other diseases in orthopedics and traumatology department can obtain satisfactory curative effect by means of giant acupuncture.To this end,this paper will explain the possible mechanism of action of giant acupuncture and summarize the clinical application of giant acupuncture in orthopedics and traumatology department in recent years,in order to provide reference for the"new application of ancient method"of acupuncture and moxibustion technology in modern clinical practice.
