Clinical Study of Acupuncture Combined with Yangxin Decoction in the Treatment of Vascular Cognitive Impairment
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with Yangxin Decoction in the treatment of vascular cognitive impairment(VCI).Method:A total of 66 VCI patients admitted to Yangjiang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2021 to February 2023 were selected.They were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method,33 cases in each group.The control group was given cognitive training,and the observation group was given acupuncture combined with Yangxin Decoction on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,cognitive function,daily living ability before and after treatment and safety were compared between the two groups.Result:One case was lost in the control group and three cases were lost in the observation group.The total effective rate of the observation group was 83.33%(25/30),which was higher than 62.50%(20/32)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA)and mini-mental state examination(MMSE)in both groups were higher than those before treatment,MoCA score and MMSE score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the activities of daily living(ADL)scores of the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the ADL score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no security incidents in either group.Conclusion:Acupuncture combine with Yangxin Decoction is effective in the treatment of VCI,it can effectively improving patients'cognitive function and daily living ability,with good safety.
