Effect of Xiaoxianxiong Decoction Combined with Conventional Western Medicine in the Treatment of Bacterial Pneumonia
Objective:To explore the effect of Xiaoxianxiong Decoction combined with conventional western medicine in the treatment of bacterial pneumonia.Method:A total of 96 patients with bacterial pneumonia treated in Changzhou First People's Hospital from January 2019 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects and divided into control group and traditional Chinese medicine group according to random number table method,with 48 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional western medicine,and the traditional Chinese medicine group was treated with Xiaoxianxiong Decoction on the basis of the control group,both groups were treated continuously for 7 d.The efficacy,incidence of adverse reactions,serum inflammatory factors[C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),procalcitonin(PCT)]and immune function indicators(CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+)before treatment and 7 d after treatment were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the traditional Chinese medicine group was significantly higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The time of fever reduction,cough disappearance,lung rales disappearance and hospital stay in the traditional Chinese medicine group were significantly shorter than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of CRP,IL-6 and PCT in two groups were lower than those before treatment,and those in the traditional Chinese medicine group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of CD3+,CD4+and CD4+/CD8+in two groups were higher than those before treatment,and those in the traditional Chinese medicine group were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Xiaoxianxiong Decoction combined with conventional western medicine in the treatment of bacterial pneumonia can promote the relief of clinical symptoms,reduce the level of inflammation,improve the immune function and improve the curative effect.
