Clinical Effect and Safety of Circular Needle Intervertebral External Foramen Release Surgery in the Treatment of Lumbar Disc Herniation
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect and safety of circular needle intervertebral external foramen release surgery in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Method:A total of 80 LDH patients admitted to the Acupuncture Department of Jiangyin Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from December 2020 to December 2022 were selected. They were divided into control group and treatment group according to random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with acupuncture, and the treatment group was treated with circular needle intervertebral external foramen release surgery on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, lumbar function, pain degree before and after treatment and safety were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 92.50%,which was significantly higher than 72.50%of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,Oswestry disability index(ODI)scores decreased and Japanese Orthopaedic Association scores(JOA)scores increased in both groups, the ODI score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group, and the JOA score was higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the visual analogue scale(VAS)score of two groups decreased, and the VAS score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of LDH with circular needle intervertebral external foramen release surgery can relieve pain of patients, improve lumbar function of patients, and improve quality of life, with good safety.
