Effect of Electroacupuncture on Serum Inflammatory Factors and Plasma Thromboxane B2 Levels in Patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation
Objective:To analyze the effect of electroacupuncture on serum inflammatory factors and plasma thromboxane B2 levels in patients with lumbar disc herniation.Method:A total of 110 patients with lumbar disc herniation admitted to the Department of Bone Surgery of Shuyang Zhongshan Hospital from October 2021 to October 2023 were selected as the study objects, according to different treatment plans, they were divided into conventional group and electroacupuncture group, with 55 cases in each group. The conventional group was treated with conventional traditional Chinese acupuncture, and the electroacupuncture group was treated with electroacupuncture. The levels of serum inflammatory factors, plasma thromboxane B2 and pain degree[visual analogue scale(VAS)]were compared between the two groups.Result:Before treatment, there were no significant differences in VAS score, plasma thromboxaen B2,interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)levels between two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,VAS score, plasma thromboxane B2,IL-6 and TNF-α levels in two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the electroacupuncture group were lower than those in the conventional group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with conventional traditional Chinese acupuncture treatment, the effect of electroacupuncture in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation is better.
